Olympique de Marseille is a football club based in Marseille, France. Established in 1899, Marseille have played in top flight football for most of their history. They have been French champions eight times and have Coupe de France a record. In addition in 1993 Marseille became the first and only French club to win the UEFA Champions League. Marseille play their football at the Stade Vélodrome which can hold over 60,000 (their avrg attendance in 07/08) was just over 52,000.
