Manchester City are a Premiership Football Club and believed to be the wealthiest football club in the world (after its purchase by Abu Dhabi United Group). Originally Man City he first known were known as St. Mark's, which became Ardwick A.F.C.and finally Manchester City F.C. in 1894. The club has had mix success in its history having won the League Championship twice, the FA Cup four times, the League Cup twice and the European Cup Winners' Cup once. However since winning the League Cup in 1976, the club has failed to win any major honours.
