Burnley FC are a professional English football club based in Burnley, Lancashire. As one of the founding members of The Football League in 1888 they only recently returned to top flight football in 2009. Burnley have been Football League Champions twice and FA Cup winners once. However the good times were hard at hand and in 1987 they were almost relegated!
